Saint Elena Art Gallery

Project Overview

Saint Elena Art Gallery adapts a deteriorated former boathouse into a public cultural space while retaining the character of its historic masonry. New galleries, glazing, landscaped courtyards, and terraces are inserted as clearly contemporary elements rather than imitations of the existing fabric. A reflective copper screen and carefully filtered daylight establish a measured dialogue between the retained structure, the new intervention, and the civic life extending through the site.
